"But...he's a giant," Diana protested,
adding
honey to her tea.
"He's not a giant,
he's a titan," Megera corrected.
"Besides.
It doesn't matter what he is.
What matters is that I love him."
"That
matters," Diana said.
"But it also matters that he's a giant.
Or
titan. Or whatever."
"Love is one size fits all, Megera said.
"That's
a nice thought," Diana said.
"Isn't it?"
"It's
not true, but it's nice." She dipped
a
scone into her Earl Grey. "Meg.
His toes are bigger than your head."
"Yes."
"His
teeth are longer than your legs."
"So?"
Diana
shifted uncomfortably.
"It's just that's – well –
it's just that it's going to
cause problems,
Meg.
That's all I'm saying."
"I'm
sure I don't know what you mean."
Megera said primly.
"Don't
you?"
"No," she tutted. "No, no, no."
And
she traced a little heart with her finger
in the foam on the top of her cafe au lait.
