Night owls in Manhattan were started this Saturday when an umbrella suddenly
appeared
in the hands of every New Yorker on the street as the clock struck
three in the
morning. "It was the weirdest thing," said a wide-eyed Peter
Angelette.
"All of a sudden, everywhere, all of these umbrellas appeared. And
it wasn't
like all of a sudden somebody came up and handed you an umbrella.
It was just
all of a sudden everybody had an umbrella in their hand." Experts
attribute
the sudden flurry of umbrellas to a convenient outbreak of magic realism.
