Actor Marianne Wisp, theater critic Liilian Darkly and occassional producer
Marmaduke
Wales head out on the town after dinner at Sardi's. "I made
my West End debut in a play called
The Yanks Love Anything British,"
Wisp reminisced. "And
they do, you know. Watch." Wisp then stopped
the first man that walked by. "Hello," Wisp
said. "I"m British. Do you mind
if I ask you a question?" He shook his head. "Thanks
ever so much," Wisp
smiled sweetly. "Here's the question: do you love me?" The stranger
thought
about it for a moment. "Yes," he said at last. "Yes. I do. I know I do. I love you."
Wisp grinned and kissed him, holding his face in her hands, before ambling off into
the
night arm and arm with Wales and Darkly, whistling the Stereophonics' As Long
As We Beat The English.
